Karen is a BA (Hons) qualified youth worker with over 28 years of experience working across both the public and voluntary sectors. She’s passionate about helping people grow in confidence, build resilience, and reach their full potential, especially young people and those in vulnerable situations.

With a strong diverse background in youth and community settings, and over 22 years specialising in sexual health, Karen has led a wide range of successful projects from the ground up. She’s known for her creative, flexible approach and has a real talent for developing engaging, interactive resources that make learning accessible, fun with maximum participation. One of her standout achievements is creating The Knowledge, a nationally recognised RSE board game used by professionals across the UK.

Karen is great at building trust-based relationships quickly and works well with everyone. From learners to professionals, she brings energy, empathy, and positivity to every session. She is widely respected throughout Merseyside and beyond for her dedication, her ability to connect with people, and her drive to make a difference.

Outside of work, Karen keeps active with regular tennis, gym and HITT sessions,  brings her upbeat, can-do attitude to everything she does.
